On August 8, 2026, join the League and our partners as we host a nationwide day of civic action in honor of the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
The League of Women Voters of Michigan will host a livestream 30-minute documentary, Three Marches, Two Sisters, One Bridge as a YouTube Live event. The event will be followed by a panel discussion featuring the two sisters who marched across Selma’s Edmund Pettus Bridge in 1965. The documentary tells the untold story of two 1965 Selma foot soldiers, still fighting for Voting Rights.
