Watch “The Election of Michigan Supreme Court Justices,” Chief Justice Marilyn Kelly's speech about the method of selecting justices, growth of special interest money in judicial elections, loss of public confidence in the justice system, and ways to improve the system. The speech was presented at LWVMI's April 2009 conference.
