Issues for LWVGTA Study
New Studies for 2011-2012
The Leelanau Unit of the LWVGTA is embarking on two studies in 2011-2012. They are Migrant Worker Permits and Energy in Leelanau County. These committees will meet outside regular meetings.
We invite anyone from the GTA League to join our study groups. If you are interested, please contact the Leelanau Unit.
- Migrant Workers: To study the past, current and proposed employment practices and work visa programs used by agricultural employers in our area.
- Energy: To study current and potential energy resources and supports or barriers to these resources in the Grand Traverse Area.
